Teddy Kennedy - Sometimes He Made Sense

For better or for worse, Teddy Kennedy was an important figure in American politics for 40 years. We all know him as a fierce fighter for liberal causes. But, it's being brought up here and there now that he actually bought into one of the prime truths of the RTP Blog!
The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of laissez-faire, unbridled competition. They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the umbrella of federal regulations.
Yeah, that's Teddy Kennedy in 1978, when liberals were at their zenith of power, fighting for deregulation of the trucking industry. He sounds like a run-of-the-mill contributor to RTP!
Huzzah Teddy Kennedy, RIP.

  1. Good old Teddy Kennedy. Another fine American that deserves to be buried in Arlington who has helped to bring about a socialist America and who helped to undermine our own country's attempt to defeat Soviet Russia. http://sweetness-light.com/archive/kgb-letter-details-kennedy-offer-to-ussr
He attacked and smeared Clarence Thomas the black man who dare to rise up without being dependent on the black welfare culture. Borked too. I learned that term in class. A lot of other great things he did for our Country.

I don't know the deal with him drinking and driving and supposedly allowing some woman to die, but from his political record I don't really like them man. It is a sad thing for a person to die, but at least he can't do any more damage to our Country. I am sure there are some positive things about his man. I just don't know about them. I hate to sound mean. Hopefully his name won't be attached to health care reform and give steam to it.

  2. He also worked with President Bush in the early part of his administration to get bipartisan support for the passing of "No Child Left Behind."
