The Left is using the strategy of manufactured crises to bring a revolution.

I got this off of Boortz.com. This strategy was put forward by the radical Columbia professors Cloward and Piven: "The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The 'Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse." I can think of the Environmental crises and the current debate of the Health care crises. I won't go into to great detail on this subject since these links state it more clearly, if one cares to look.

The article above describes in detail these professor's strategy and how it is related to Acorn, President Obama has ties to this group, and various groups that have pushed for Left wing policies that would bring about the collapse of our Capitalist system.

An American Thinker dot com article
points out how Obama is connected to this strategy of the radical left that has brought about this current economic crises and it contends that the Left has been purposely using this method of overloading the system to bring about a collapse of our Capitalist system: "I noted the liberal record of unmitigated legislative disasters, the latest of which is now being played out in the financial markets before our eyes. Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress - with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works? Why are they chronically incapable? Why? One of two things must be true. Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway because they somehow benefit." The article also points out how Saul Alinsky, Acorn, and Obama are related to a lot of policies that are part of this strategy.

These links are worth a read to see how this strategy is being carried out here in America. A lot of the programs and policies of the Left will make a lot more sense when looked at with the knowledge in these articles. _The Road Ahead; America's Creeping Revolution_ by John T. Flyn states that this is how various Communist and Socialist groups would bring about a "slow creeping revolution in America. There is an active attempt to bring about a "fundamental transformation" of America by the President who has ties to this strategy and these groups that have and are carrying it out.

  1. To me, the big problem with this is that Democrats right now believe they have been given the mandate to Socialize the economy based on the 2008 election. Obama's Cap & Trade, Health Care Plan, and Stimulus programs all punish entrepenuers and benefit statist entities. They are calling government the saviors of our system, they aren't trying to cause its collapse. Now that they are in power, they want government bigger, and successfully running our lives.

I do agree generally with your last statement. The only exception I would have is that they really aren't being too slow or creeping about it. They're trying to shove it down our throat while they still have (or believe they have) the political mandate to do it.

  3. Bud-D, you are stating one of my main points. "They are calling government the saviors of our system, they aren't trying to cause its collapse." In order for them to establish their "savior system" of an all powerful government, they need to collapse the current system. A free nation like America will never voluntarily put itself under the yoke of tyranny. They need to go about it slowly and hide what it is they are doing. How can it be that everything the Left enacts and pushes for ends up doing harm to our nation? Everything they do to help us ends up hurting us? The current economic situation was almost solely caused by their polices. I am trying to state that not everybody pushing these policies know what they are trying to do, but the Left under the guise of trying to help the poor and needy and ,overall, taking care of us have been slowly creating over the years a totalitarian system like Toqueville described, and due to globalization this could affect the whole world. Their intentions and purposes are not important anyway, only what the end result is.

"I would have is that they really aren't being too slow or creeping about it." They are trying to move forward fast now, but a lot of this has been occurring for over 100 years from President Wilson's income tax--Karl Marx frankly proposed a progressive or graduated income tax, the education system being designed to create a bunch of non thinking people, going off of the gold standard, to our economic system being established on debt, from FDR's changing of our government under the guise of solving the GD--which was caused by government and prolonged by his policies, read the _Forgotten Man_. Teddy Roosevelt's shift of our government. You can look all the way back to the Civil war to see the change of our government. The Federal government grew a lot due to the Civil war and Civil Rights, according to my liberal text book and moderate instructor.

I can't describe all of the gradual ways that our country has been headed towards this system. All I can say is read _The Road Ahead, America's creeping revolution_--it is coming to pass very close to how he describe it would, _The Constitution of Liberty_, Democracy in America, and many of Ayn Rand's articles. I might try to write a post of how this system has slowly been established over the last 100 years. It is clear to me from the book I have read. This is the natural tendency of governments in general. Maybe it sounds ridiculous and is hard to to comprehend the fact that people would do this. I don't think that you would disagree that regardless of how it is coming about a system of tyranny is being established.

  4. The minds of the people need to be prepared over the course of several generations to accept a government whose proper function is to provide for them. Look at how social and economic disasters lead to Stalin and Hitler, and how they took advantage of it. These systems were established by popular support of the people because they thought it would provide for them and solve their problems. You need social and economic problems to establish the loving and all proving government they want. But this will never happen in America, right? Maybe not a brutal and naked version of these systems, but the soft and mild and parental one spoken of by Tocqueville.

  5. I agree 100% with your last response. But, I think the difference between you and me is that I think that the people that are pushing this really think they are doing it for the benefit of the people. They think the world (and what they care about is the World not the United States) will be a better place, and all the people can live together as one if Obama would just hurry up and overthrow our capitalist ecomonic system and get a Socialist system installed in its place. Really, I think John Lennon's Imagine is a central philosophical foundation for most Democrats and liberals in the United States.

  6. The main point I wanted to make was that there has and is a plan to bring about a quiet, learning from the past they realise that it must be quiet, revolution of our free capitalist system and change it into a centrally planned economy.

Most people pushing for this system do believe it will be a good thing, but some people at the top who formulate these polices, professors and philosophers, and plans know very well what it is and what it will lead to. The politicians are just a "ventriloquist" of the college professors and the philosophers.

This doesn't matter because it is wrong and should be opposed regardless. Understanding where it is that they want to take us it key to opposing it. I don't care if the useful idiots and reality deniers think it will lead to some heaven on earth. They are wrong and should be opposed--that is the point that we should be starting at in opposing these people.
