White people will be the minority in America by 2050.
I read this article on yahoo news. Basically the recession has pushed back the original date of 2023 when white people would become the minority in America. What does this mean? Not much, just an interesting fact. America's demographics are changing. I remember reading about this in my American government class and the effects this would have on American politics--Mexicans will be the second largest majority group. Hopefully, these minorities will be educated with American values. Another interesting fact is that people with the knowledge of what it takes to maintain a free nation are rapidly becoming the minority thanks to the education system. I remember watching a show on the Discovery channel stating that white people are becoming extinct. Hopefully the culture of freedom that has been the hallmark of white people throughout history won't becoming extinct along with white people.

Does anybody know anything about the Kindle? I'm thinking of buying one but not sure if it is a come and go type of technology. I hope its not out of date by spring.
ReplyDeleteThe people with Kindle one could not transfer their books that they had on it to the kindle two. I want some assurance that I can keep my library. Some people had their copy of "1984" deleted by Amazon because it was supposedly a copy right infrigement. I like to underline and copy notes in the books I read. I know you can take notes with the Kindle, but I don't know the format you can do this on. The books are cheaper on the Kindle.
ReplyDeleteKindle and E-readers are the future. I want one, but I am waiting for the technology to be perfected and for some assurance that I can keep my library. I like hard copies.
I'm winging it here, but I think 'whites' were a minority from the beginning of the Republic up until the turn of the 20th century, when poor immigrants from Southern & Eastern Europe pushed the percent of European-Americans past that of African-Americans and and Native-Americans. European-Americans managed to do alright before when they were a minority, and I believe they'll do alright now. Just as in South Africa, where they're only about 10% of the population. It's a matter of attitude and passing on our culture to the next generation. Patrick, pay attention!

Now if you confine that statement to the Germanic peoples, and the Anglo-Saxons in particular, I may jump on board.
I know nothing about Kindle.
I was referring to Germanic people and the Anglo-Saxons. I don't know about the Slavic or whatever the Russian people are. I believe that culture is a more important factor than race when looking at a people. The whole point is that the culture of freedom is going extinct. I don't know if there is a correlation or cause and effect relationship between the decline of White people and that of freedom. I do know that without America and England the world would be engulfed in tyranny. I am sure if these people did not pick the banner of freedom up some other people would have. I am not too familiar with world history. I took the class, but I was taught Afrocentrism and how bad white people and the West are. So I still have some learning to do on this history, so I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think it is just simple. Our government will naturally keep getting larger. There is no way to stop it. "God forbid we be twenty years without a rebellion". Isnt that jefferson's quote? "The closest thing to eternal life is a government program" Isnt that a Regean quote? Government will keep growing no matter how our constitution was written. If there is a will then there is a way. Our culture, white man, black man, doesnt matter.
