Oregon is going to the Rose Bowl!
Oregon defeated Oregon State to win the Pac Ten title and earn a right to play in the Rose Bowl against America's sweet hearts: The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Oregon State played well, but Oregon earned this win and they earned the conference championship.
My last memory of an Oregon Rose Bowl berth was in 94. I was in fourth grade and we were to play Penn St. I bet Paul Sherwin one dollar and some pogs that Penn St would beat Oregon. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Ducks then and I do now, but I know my sports and knew Oregon would lose. The tables have turned though. I will place my bets on the Ducks this year!!!
Final prediction: Oregon 34, Ohio St. 24.
GO DUCKS!!!!!
University of Oregon clearly got their colors from the Robinson Crest.
ReplyDeleteThe most important Civil War in History!
ReplyDeleteDucks were clearly the better team by the end of the game. Go Ducks! I'm sure the Beavs will do well in their bowl too. I feel good about the Pac 10 in bowl games this year, and Boise and TCU. Time for the West to dominate.
Nevada ought to do well too.
ReplyDeleteWell said Bud-D. A definite good year for the West. Although, our friends east of the Mississippi might disagree with you. I heard that the Big Ten might have two BCS teams. Ohio St, and Iowa. Complete bull shit if you ask me. I consider the Big Ten at par with C-USA.
ReplyDeleteMaybe two straight years of undefeated bowl games will change people's minds. I feel better about the Pac's chances in its bowl games this year then I did last year.
Hey Bud-D, are you checking the blog on the clock? Nice.
ReplyDeleteBetter keep an eye over your shoulder before Lumbergh comes by and demands more TPS reports.
Uhmm, yeah, I need to surf the net for business...
ReplyDeleteThat's all fine and dandy, but if Jake Locker returns next year (I personally think he would be a fool to)the Huskies will dominate the Pac10, back to the days of the Oregon teams being the mat UW wipes their feet on!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and on another subject, can we all say Sam Bowie part 2!?!?
Yeah, that's a tough decision for Jake: make millions, or come back for the 4th time to try to get UW a winning record. I'm a Jake fan either way though.
ReplyDeleteRipped City. Bummer. I like Oden too. But, he's just too injury prone.
Go Sonics! (I think that takes care of my defense for the Blazers)
ReplyDelete1. UW will not have Jake Locker next year. He has already been injured enough to scare himself stupid, and has nothing left to prove to the scouts.
2. UO is only building its recruiting ability by playing prime time in the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl is located in UO's designated recruiting region.
3. Oregon is returning LeMichael(which means: The Michael in spanish)who was named PAC 10 offensive rookie of the year, Masoli, and their entire offense except the tight end. Our defense loses a few key db's but they were injured most of the year and we won without them anyway. Point is, our team will be exactly the same but better next year. Without Locker, UW will be exactly the same but shittier.
