Sadly the modern military will be looking more and more like this as the years go by. I am not an expert on history. But from my knowledge there hasn't been a society that has openly accepted homosexuality that hasn't eventually openly accepted incest and other things. The same logic that enables you to have an indifferent attitude towards homosexuality and to accept it can be used to accept other things. My question for people that are indifferent to our society openly accepting homosexuality is if they are comfortable accepting other things that nobody wants to talk about.
On the same-sex marriage issue talked about in a previous post, same-sex marriage is already legal in America: people are free to live with whoever they want to and are free to get married by any "church" or any organization. The question is if the government and society should be forced to accept same-sex marriage and to promote it by giving SSM the same benefits as traditionally--a repetitive adjective as the definition of marriage up until recently was defined as between a union between man and a woman-- married couples.
