The Shaping Of The American Minds

It is no surprise nor is it a revelation that Hollywood and pop culture is populated with liberals, but what may be new is the fact that many T.V. shows and movies have subtle hidden messages. This message being a liberal one. Pop culture is how most people's world view is formed and shaped. Is it then no surprise that most people hold a liberal world view? Is it no surprise that America elected a President with an affinity for communism and social justice?

A communist message is present in the majority of movies and T.V. shows: from Star Trek's vision of a united-galaxy--one-world-- Utopia where there is no money (start at min one and ignore the retard guy) and no greed because people have an evolved sense of reason and where its main hero is a drunkard as is the case in the most recent film; from Star Wars promotion of a new-age religion; from movies like "The Hangover" where getting drunk to the point of unconsciousness is glorified; from Avatar's promotion of a new environmental religion; from T.V. shows where family values are ridiculed to the effect of eroding the nuclear family which is at the very foundation of a free society; from movies that hold up a charismatic leader that shows up and saves the world from disaster having the effect of preparing people to follow a similar leader; from Superman renouncing his America citizenship to become a "citizen of the world"; from Sesame Street's subtle liberal messages; from the Snookies and Britanny Spears. This list could go on and on.

Spreading ideals and shaping opinion through media is nothing new, but what is significant is the fact that it is so widespread and the fact that a liberal message is almost the only message. Is it no wonder that Americans hold and spout liberal and communist thought without them even being aware that it is such or being aware of where these ideals came from and what these ideals lead to? Our current President is the outcome of the ideals that pop culture spreads. To change the direction America is headed will require that pop culture spread the ideals of freedom and capitalism which will lead to a cultural revolution. The problem in the political arena is merely a symptom of this pop culture disease. Until our culture starts to reflect the ideas of freedom, prepare for the end of America and freedom as you know it. Or sit back and get the pop corn, and prop the legs up and watch a movie that will ease the pain of reality.

  1. The only constant in life is change. America and the world is changing into a new socialist system. To recongnize this takes fortitude of mind that most people don't have. Most peope when faced with a crisis or dangerous situation, simply chose to ignore it until they are directly impacted by it because it is too painful for them to think about it. You can help prevent America from changing in a negative way by spreading the ideals of freedom and raise your children properly and don't let them watch pop culture crap like "Sesame Street" for the reasons stated in the 1st link above.

But I think the point of no return for America has been reached. Doesn't mean I just give up, but it means that I adapt to the changing conditions by becoming educated by reading and facing reality by thinking uncomfortable things.

  2. Yeah, this was shocking to see them actually admit it, but not anything that wasnt' obvious already. That's why I have such a hard time watching TV/movies nowadays: the political points they want to get across are too annoying (and obvious) for me to enjoy the movie, most of the time.

The first step to correcting the problem is recognizing you have one. Well, we know we have one, but hopefully, more will get to know. An interesting link is to very famous playright/movie director David Mamet's conversion from stock-liberalism to conservatism. Would make a good blog post!

Jeff, you're too much of a pessimist! I think you've got to look at how far we've come. Obama was a step in the wrong direction, but he is now being refuted and if you look at where this country is now as opposed to the Statist/Socialist country we were under FDR, LBJ's great society, heck Nixon was far more liberal than Clinton! We're making progress (primarily because the government is no longer able to pull more money out of its subjects).

Yeah, I don't understand why it's not taking my sign-in. Maybe the ChiComm's hacking of Google did it!

  3. Most people don't see a crisis until it is immediately at their doorstep or their life is directly affected. Or they can even be staring at it and refuse to see it.

I know that I did not live during the 70's, but from what I know about that time period it does not seem as if America has progressed towards a more free socitey. Two ways to measure this is the size of the government and its influence in the economy and the state of our culture. The government is far larger now than during the 70's: more people are dependent on the government 1/6 of people receive income from the government, 1/3 of all wages come from the government, the size of the government as measured as a precentage of GDP, and the debt. Our culture has continued to rot, although there has been some progress recently. During the 70's communism was considered a bad thing, now it is considered ok and openly flaunted. We have radical political leaders who have openly declared their love for communism and their desire to "fundamentally transform" America. Bill and Hilliary Clinton are not some moderate group of people. Look at their association with people like Bill Ayers whom Hillary wrote her thesis on. They had to appear that way because people wouldn't have accepted a President like Obama. This fact shows how America has declined. The fact that leaders can be so open about their support for communist ideals shows how far America has deteriorated. There is a definite decline in America since the 70's and is continuing to decline. The ponzi scams that are Social Security and medi care are about to end. And the larger ponzi scam that is the world economy--everything is based on debt that is paid for by issuing more debt-- is coming to an end. The more I learn about economics the more accurate it is becoming. At 1st I shrugged it off as being off.
There was never any talk of America or any other major economic power going bankrupt during the 70's. This is now being openly talked about by creditable people. I don't see things progressing towards freedom or capitalism. Greece will probably the the 1st to fall which will have a major impact. There is no question that it will default. Hyperinflation is Europe. Weimar? http://www.cnbc.com/id/43266851

Our culture, debt, the state of the world economy make it fairly clear to me that some not-so-good-big changes are going to occur in the world in the my lifetime. This is not being a pessimist, but realisitic.

Looks like people are starting to catch on about the "Arab Spring". http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/144527

Good thing we are sending them 40 billion dollars. Sounds like America is helping the Middle East to consume America.

According to the IMF China is going to become the largest economy by 2016.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1380486/The-Age-America-ends-2016-IMF-predicts-year-Chinas-economy-surpass-US.html
Somewhat sketchy. Chinas economy might be overheating.
