The World Bank Makes Recommedations To China

I have plans to do a more in depth post on the IMF and World Bank and how they promote socialism and state-dominated economies under the guise of free market language. In the mean time I will do a short post that illustrates, to an extent, this point. I readily admit that the stated goals of the IMF and World Bank do make it sound as if their policies are promoting free markets; but when you examine more closely their recommendations you can see that they do not advocate nor promote free markets but instead promote a state-controlled economic system where the state uses the market mechanism to advance its agendas and goals. Part of this is using state control in the form of market incentives, like carbon taxes, to promote sectors of the economy that the state deems worthy to be promoted . This is opposed to a free market system where the market is the entity determining which sectors will dominate. A perfect example that illustrates this point is the recent report by the World Bank that forecasts that the China will become the world largest economy before the year 2030 and make recommendations on how the Chinese should reform their economy:
China must relax its grip on industry and move towards a free-market economy, the World Bank said on Monday in a report that forecast the country would become the world's largest economy before 2030.[...]
An executive summary of the 400-plus page report, made public by Zoellick, had six broad recommendations for Beijing: strengthen a market-based economy, foster innovation, go "green", provide social security for all, improve the fiscal system and seek mutually beneficial relations with the world.

I know that "move towards a free-market" might take our breath away and make us go out and be cheer leaders for the World Bank. Just like saving the environment makes us want to support the environmental movement. But we have to look more closely at the issue. One thing that caught my eye was the "go green" statement. The world bank has bought in to the lie of man-made climate change: "Fifth, while China’s green development strategy is driven almost entirely by domestic considerations, it will make a significant contribution to tackling global climate change." As has been noted before, the green movement is not about saving the environment but is rather about advancing communism and socialism and that there is no man- made climate change. When you take a closer look at at the specifics of the World Bank's recommendations( around page 39), it appears that the belief in man-made climate change is being used to promote a government-led economic system and not a free market system:
A key goal of using market incentives is to harness the creativity and entrepreneurial energy of China’s private sector and state enterprises to protect the environment and turn China’s green industries into an important source of growth by making them world-class innovators and competitors. Market incentives are also the best way to foster efficiency, which, in the case of green development, goes beyond financial efficiency to include resource use efficiency and the reduction of environmental externalities. [...]

Instead, the government should consider market mechanisms such as taxes, fees, tradable permits, tradable quotas, and eco-labeling. In degraded ecosystems, rehabilitation is warranted, especially through expanded payments for ecological services in poor and ecologically important rural areas (for example, upriver watershedsor downriver flood plains).

There is no better place to begin than by ensuring that market prices of goods and services reflect the true cost of production and consumption to society. For example, the price of oil, water, coal, and other natural resources should include a tax to reflect the social and environmental costs incurred with their use. Complementary actions would involve removing direct and indirect subsidies, raising pollution taxes, and canceling export tax rebates for high-pollution, high emissions, and resource-intensive industries. (Indeed, export targets for these industries should also be curtailed, if not abolished altogether.)[...]

Given the global push on climate mitigation, the most effective way for China to establish itself as a global green technology leader is by implementing stringent and effective policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to internalize the cost of carbon emissions in the operating costs of enterprises. Stringent emissions reduction policies, achieved through such diverse market mechanisms as carbon trading, a carbon tax on fuels, technology standards, and regional carbon partnerships, can act as a powerful mobilizing force for innovation in green technologies. This, in turn, will help lower economic costs associated with improving the quality of the environment and help drive overall growth.[...]

To mobilize collective action on environmental protection and climate change, the
government needs to launch mass education campaigns to increase public awareness of these issues and the actions that individuals and households can take to contribute
toward the national effort. China can make emissions reduction and environmental protection a desirable lifestyle, thereby increasing market demand for green products. To do so, it could mobilize nongovernmental organizations, industry associations and the, media. It can also change consumer behavior by providing better information, through energy efficiency labeling for example.

While these recommendations sound good--externalize costs, internalization cost, using market incentives, carbon tax, and etc.-- and even seem like they are promoting the free market, they do not promote the free market and they are not free market based. They instead advocate the state functioning as the mechanism which determines the economic sectors that are to be dominate and how scarce resources are to be utilized.

Communism has proven to be a failed economic system and those that advocate for the communist economic system are no longer advocating for the old version of communism with total state control over the economy, but instead are advocating for more of a fascist economic model where the state determines how scare resources are to be allocated for the purpose of advancing the goals and agenda of the state--usually social justice or environmental justice. It is yet to be seen if the Chinese government will actually listen to the advice of the World Bank, but the main point to take away from this is that the World Bank does not an advocate for free markets. The World Bank and the IMF that were created out of the Bretton Woods conference are evolving into a world central bank that will issue a single currency, just as its founder Keynes had envisioned. A world-socialist-economic system with international organizations like the IMF and World Bank functioning as a world central bank is being created before our eyes.

Happy Mother Earth Day And Happy Birthday To Lenin

As you may know it is Earth Day, but this year is a very special one because "Mother Earth is finally having her rights recognized". The UN is pushing for the Earth to have the same rights as humans. A very moving message--no this did not come from the Onion as far as I know--follows from the main proponent of the fight to give Earth her rights:

'Sixty years after adopting the [Universal Declaration of Human Rights], Mother Earth is now, finally, having her rights recognized,' said President Morales, immediately following the Assembly’s unanimous adoption of a resolution designating 22 April each year as International Mother Earth Day (A/63/L.69).

Action to that end had never been more vital, as the toll of years of environmental degradation and callous exploitation of the planet’s natural resources and ecosystems could no longer be ignored, he said. The incremental yet increasingly obvious impacts of manmade climate change were putting Mother Earth at even more peril, as in his region alone the snow capped peaks of the Andean mountain range were receding every day; islands were buffeted by ever-more violent storms; and arid areas were becoming even drier.

'We are strangling the planet -– strangling ourselves,' President Morales declared, stressing that, for too many years, the world had been held captive by the seductive notion of capitalism. However, it was now clear that “we don’t own the planet, we belong to it,” he said, calling for the twenty-first century to be dedicated to protecting and supporting Mother Earth and her ecosystems.

Some 60 years after activists had fought so hard to win acknowledgement of human rights worldwide, including social, economic, political and cultural rights, Mother Earth was now having her rights recognized, he continued. Indeed, animals and plants -- all living creatures and beings -- had rights that deserved to be respected and protected. Those that had supported the text in the Assembly would be heralded for their historic action, he said, expressing the hope that, as the twentieth century had been called 'the century of human rights', this new era would be known as the “century of the rights of Mother Earth'.

Continuing, President Morales said that, by proclaiming the International Day, United Nations Member States now had the opportunity to begin laying out a Declaration on the Rights of Mother Earth. Such a Charter must enshrine the right to life for all living things; right to regeneration of the planet’s biocapacity; right to a clean life -- for Mother Earth to live free of contamination and pollution; and the right to harmony and balance among and between all things.

As you celebrate Earth Day, also take time to remember Vladimir Lenin whose birthday happens to be the same day as Earth Day. Lenin is the main inspiration for those environmentalist fighting for a cleaner environment by hasting the overthrow of capitalism. I recommend hugging a tree, turning your lights off for one hour, and reading "The Communist Manifesto" in honor of this great day.

Global Warming - "It's Dead for the Foreseeable Future"

Yay!!!  The last nail in the Global Warming Scam is hammered home
The closing this week of the Chicago Climate Exchange, which was envisioned to be the key player in the trillion-dollar "cap and trade" market, was the final nail in the coffin of the Obama administration's effort to pass the controversial program meant to combat global warming.
This Carbon trading exchange is a scam that Al Gore was in on the ground floor. To see it fall warms the cockles of my Global Cooling chilled heart.
"When those that voted for the measure in 2009 went home on July 4th after the vote, they met widespread outrage among their constituents," said Nick Loris, an analyst with Heritage Foundation. Conservatives renamed the idea "cap and tax," and they began an assault on the program.

In the last week, following the Nov. 2 Republican takeover of the House of Representatives, the slide became an avalanche. Investors in CCX, including Sandor and former Vice President Al Gore, sold the exchange to a company involved in commodities trading.
Don't cry for the perpetrators, the brains behind it is $90 million richer, and a chief backer is president of the United States:
The Exchange was the brainchild of Richard Sandor, an economist and professor at Northwestern University, and it was modeled after a successful program that was launched in 1990 and helped control acid rain in the Midwest. It was initially funded by a $1.1 million grant from the Joyce Foundation of Chicago, and President Obama was a board member at the time.
It doesn't say how much Al Gore made out of it, but my guess is he's not hurting.

It's bad form to brag and gloat and say "I told you so", but I've been harping on this scam since 2005, in the face of hipsters, leftists, and concerned Conservatives even, so it feels very good to me. Excuse me, I'm going to bask in the glow of shattered statists' dreams for a while.

Mother Nature and The Man-Made Global Warming Lie.

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/04/photogalleries/100402-iceland-volcano-tourism-pictures/#iceland-volcano-tourism-crowds-bluff_18082_600x450.jpg

Maybe you have been watching the news and are aware of the fact that a volcano in Iceland is spueing massive amounts of volcano ash and an overall dark cloud over some of Europe disrupting air travel. At one point, the volcano was throwing seven hundred and fifty tons of material into the atmosphere per SECOND. I am no scientist, but I believe that this ash has the same effect on the atmosphere that man's greenhouse gas emissions have. I do know in that distance past massive eruptions has changed the climate of the planet by blocking the sun etc. There is no way what man can do in terms of putting pollution or greenhouse gases can compare with what nature can do. I read a news article stating that the already struggling airlines are loosing around two hundred million dollars a day. I also read that this is disrupting world trade to some extent. And according to this article the eruptions could just be starting, "For all the worldwide chaos that Iceland's volcano has already created, it may just be the opening act." How does this matter to you? Well, it puts things into perspective. The world is somewhat on edge due to financial crises and the war on terror just to name a few. All it would take is a push from nature to send the world closer to the edge. This shows how little man really controls what is going on and how that nature is really in control. This also shows that when it comes to pumping pollutions or material into the atmosphere, man can not compare to nature.

This also matters because the Global Warming lie is BACK, and just in time for the a new push by Congress to enact its cap and trade legislation, I mean cap and tax and take over of the private sector.
An environmental coalition publicized a new U.S. draft report on climate change on Monday, one week before the expected unveiling of a compromise U.S. Senate bill that aims to curb greenhouse gas emissions.[...]The report, a draft of the Fifth U.S. Climate Action Report that will be sent to the United Nations, says bluntly: 'Global warming is unequivocal and primarily human-induced ... Global temperature has increased over the past 50 years. This observed increase is due primarily to human-induced emissions of heat-trapping gases.'
AGW has already been discredited by hacked emails of the scientist promoting this lie, see earlier post connected with the labels below. The truth can not get in the way of promoting bigger government. The whole environmentalism movement is about the overthrow of the private sector and is being used by governments of the world to increase their power. This whole belief that man is causing the climate to change is also belied by the recent volcanic eruptions in Iceland that is pumping massive amounts of ash into the atmosphere that is far greater than anything man can do. This shows that these people who believe that man can actually have any major and lasting impact on the environment are arrogant and naive--just look at the dinosaurs and past geological upheavals. Man is still very small and insignificant in the bigger cosmic picture.

Communist and Socialist are trying to save the planet.

This information is not new to us here. So I will make a short post with some entertaining videos. I got this video from the Hot Air blog and I downloaded it from Youtube.

I got this off of Rush Limbaugh dot com. Hugo Chavez made an interesting speech--minute seven is a good place to start--at the Copenhagen meetings where he generally attacked capitalism by stating that "capitalism is a ghost in the room". He received some applause for these remarks--Rush said it was a loud and long applause, but the one in the video was rather quiet and short. Chavez did give a shout-out to the young people outside of the meetings protesting. Probably not the people in the video above, but all of the other hippies. To sum up the theme of the Copenhagen meetings, Capitalism needs to go in order to save the environment--of course the saving the environment part is just a means to gain legitimacy for their goal of destroying capitalism, a new take on a relativitly old movement.

The remarks by Chavez illustrates one of the main problems with international meetings such as Copenhagen and international bodies such as the U.N.--they give equal time an and clout to these Communist dictators. If there is to be an international governing body that is conductive to free trade and overall freedom--which is necessary, these clowns need to be removed from these organizations or their influence needs to be completely sidelined in these organizations. This of course won't happen because two of the major players in the U.N. are Russia and China, and there can not be an IGB that leaves out over half of the world. These systems of tyranny will never be completely eliminated from the world--the free countries did not have the fortitude nor the means. There can not be a union of freedom or good and tyranny or evil. Tyranny and evil is the one that benefits from such a union. A union between freedom and tyranny is the how the current IGB is taking shape, so it will not turn out to be one that is good for Freedom. Overall, a good video that shows who the people are that are behind this global warming scam and a good illustration of what is wrong with the U.N. and these international meetings--the U.N. and these international meetings are a mixture of freedom and tyranny, and they are a means to disarm the West and to gain its compliance and support in the destruction of freedom.

The Environmental Protection Agency to regulate greenhouse gases under the clean air act.

It looks like the White House is not going to let the normal legislative process stand in its way of protecting the public from noxious greenhouse gases. The Congress will not be allowed to stand in the way! It is nice to know that someone is watching out for our welfare. I read this interesting new article yesterday.
The Environmental Protection Agency took a major step Monday toward regulating greenhouses gases, concluding that climate changing pollution threatens the public health and the environment.[...] The EPA said that the scientific evidence surrounding climate change clearly shows that greenhouse gases "threaten the public health and welfare of the American people" and that the pollutants — mainly carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels — should be regulated under the Clean Air Act.
If the EPA goes through with this, what will this mean? It means that the government will have the power to regulate carbon emissions without having to pass legislation. Every form of economic activity that occurs in our carbon-based economy involves the burning of fossil fuels. This is a very clever way for the government to hide its goal of regulating every aspect of the economy and our lives, and this goal is being pursued on a global level. Charles Krauthammer states that this move by the EPA is blackmail and that environmentalism is the new socialism. This is a manufactured crises used to scare people into accepting more government --Very funny! I saw it on T.V. It is stupid. It might not be real. If it is, then WOW. (Where have I heard this before?)

Or as an Obama administration offical said,
If you don't pass this legislation, then ... the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area, the official said. And it is not going to be able to regulate on a market-based way, so it's going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way, which will probably generate even more uncertainty.
"Regulate in a command-and-control way," What does that sound like to you? Obviously, this adminstration is serious about pursuing its goals of increasing the size and the scope of government into the private sector by using this global warming scam. Who knew the clean air act would be used for such purposes? Come on, clean air does not sound that nefarious.

In light of the Climate Gate scandal these people don't plan to reevaluate their stance on the global warming issue. Why? Because the various governments are using bad science and lies to pass and push through their agenda of wealth redistribution and an overall larger role of government in the private sector. Not to mention their desire to create a global governing body to enforce these climate rules.

This is big news, as is this whole Climate Gate scandal. This clearly illustrates how the governments of the world are trying to expand their power and size under the disguise of lies and by creating new regulations that would regulate every form of economic activity by regulating a substance that is essential to our economy--our economy is based on the use of fossil fuels that emit greenhouse gases.

Is this some conspiracy, some pie-in-the-sky-amazingly-hard thing to believe? No, the founding fathers realized that due to human nature, governments would naturally try to increase their size and power. Human nature does not change nor can it be reshaped--like communism has tried to do. This is why the founding fathers created checks and balances in our government. Once one gets power they want more of it. As Lord Acton stated, "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Alexander Frazier Tytler states this about the different stages of a Democracy, which is what America has deteriorated into.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy[Jeff, this is happening now}, always followed by dictatorship[Jeff, a soft, mild one]. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: "from bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.

America is at the point of going from dependency back into bondage--in this case, dependent on the government to allow and bless any form of economic activity. America's fate is not that hard to comprehend. The fate of a free society is revealed by history and was foreseen by many people that looked at this history combined with a knowledge of human nature. The people will demand change in the leadership of our country(Obama's approval number are very low for this point in his Presidency), but not before a system has been set up and our course has been set.

This attempt by tyranny to expand its control over people by claiming to be watching out and providing for our "general welfare" was foreseen by Tocqueville. This is a must read to understand how our Country is being transformed into a soft and mild tyrannical form of government through global warming and health care. One can not be fooled by all the good intentions and feel-good-emotional hype that surrounds these arguments. (There are other ways to get that tingly feeling running up your spine.)

This is America and it will always exist as a free country, right? Things will always be the same as they were when one popped their head out into this world. Once people allow their freedoms to be taken away, it requires a lot of time and a lot of blood to gain it back. What awaits us is not all that unknowable or secret or amazing, if one knows how to look at current events from a historical perspective. If one knows the general direction we are headed, they can set themselves up to prosper. While this climate conference and the overall global warming debate will not led to America loosing its freedoms over night nor will it set the Country's fate in stone, it does illustrate that there is an attempt to fundamentally transform America and attack freedom, and whatever comes out of Copenhagen will led America and the world closer to universal tyranny. It is all under the guise of solving a non-existent crises, so what good can come out of it? This is all revealed out in the open to anyone who is looking and able and willingly to comprehend what is occurring.

A prime example of how the Environmental Movement sacrifices human prosperity and livelihood for the environment.

An important aspect of the EM is that it is a new take on the old pagan religions that sacrificed humans to please mother nature--a new take on sacrificing humans on an altar. As compared with other results of the EM policies, this is a mild issue where peoples' livelihood are destroyed, not actual human lives as in several other cases--DDT--that I plan to illustrate throughout several post. This time sacrifices must be made in the name of a fish. Remember, these peoples' means of surviving and making a living must be destroyed to save a fish.

This is from the Hot Air blog: "That would be the San Joaquin Valley in California, one of the most prolific agricultural areas in the country — or at least it was, until environmentalists turned off the water. Did they need it for people in response to the drought? No, because the water that would normally flow to the SJV is getting directed out to sea instead. Environmentalists have chosen to bankrupt an entire ecosystem of farms in favor of protecting the Delta smelt, a three-inch fish that neither feeds people nor eliminates pests from the water system." Human prosperity needs to be sacrificed for a little fish. I would really like to understand the EM reasoning behind this. How do they explain this?

The EM is a medium through which the government is bringing about a transformation of our country and is destructive to human life. When you look at the movement, it is a new take on the old pagan religions that sacrificed humans. As Peter Schwartz stated in _The Philosophy of Privation_, "Environmentalism amounts to a modern, secularized form of religion. It is an ideology that instructs man to prostrate himself before a superior, ineffable force. It is an ideology that declares the human mind too feeble to grasp the complexities of an inscrutable world, or 'ecosystem.' It is an ideology propelled by the desire to have man subordinate himself to a hollowed power--a power which must be placated and paid homage, if man is to receive the gracious bounty upon which his existence depends." When we look at the modern day EM, we can see that this is not some over stated statement. It goes back to the old say that there is nothing new under the sun. By supporting environmentalism, one is supporting a movement that is helping to destroy mankind.

Van Jones gets booted. What did his appointment reveal about President Obama and the direction our government is taking?

President Obama's green jobs czar Van Jones resigned after it was revealed that he was a 911 truther, he signed a petition that was, "a call for immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur." This fact lead to him resigning. It is interesting that some of his other radical beliefs did not lead to him resigning earlier. He has also said many radical things, too many to be included here. '"Jones who was identified as a self-described radical communist and 'rowdy black nationalist' who said his environmental activism was actually a means to fight for racial and class 'justice.'" Here is a little background information on this guy.

Jones has a desire to transform our system by using the environmental movement, "so the green economy will start off as a small subset we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes an engine for transforming the whole society." Two weeks before he started working for the White House he gave a speech: "During his speech, available on YouTube, Jones threw around terms like "eco-apartheid" and "green for some," and preached about spreading the wealth while positing a call to "change the whole system." Spreading the Wealth around sounds like a well known political philosophy that has lead Mankind down some of its darkest hours. Does he mean to change the whole system into one that will spread the wealth around? It is interesting that Obama has stated that his goal is to "fundamentally transform America". Was he referring to the same transformation that Jones was talking about? Why would the President say that this guy is a close friend and appoint him as his advisor if the President did not share many of Jones' beliefs and goals? The fact that we was put there by the President reveals a lot about Obama's beliefs and goals.

This is good discussion on the people running our government and their agenda of transforming America.

Does this mean that this is the last that we will see of him? "Perhaps you think the Van Jones appointment as a White House czar was an aberration and, now that he is gone, America will never hear from him again. Think again. His biggest fans and closest friends tell a much different story. For instance, Don Hazen, executive director of the Independent Media Institute, a "progressive" alternative media outlet heavily funded by the likes Teresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation, says Jones' talents were actually wasted in the position of "green jobs czar" Barack Obama gave him.[...] Hazen calls departing from the White House a "liberation" for Jones. Not only is this better for Jones, says Hazen, it's better for the 'progressive' movement because Jones is the leader it needs on the outside." This last statement reveals a lot about what the progressive movement stands for. How can they say this about a man who holds these radical beliefs and has describe himself as a communist and not agree with his beliefs and goals of bringing about racial justice and a transformation of our society through the environmental movement?

This guy is probably the most well know radical in our government; but there are several other radical people in Obama's cabinet, Obama included, and who are advising him. When I look at what these people believe and what they want to achieve, it seems like there is some type of quite revolution occurring in our country. It is easy to dismiss these facts as some far-out-there thing, but it is worth noting to see what our Government and Country is transforming into. It is hard not to believe these people's own words. It is amazing that people with these beliefs are in charge of our Country. I wonder how close they will come to achieving their goals before they are booted out; and once they are booted out, will the transformation be reversed to any great extent? America and the World has been heading towards some New World order that will be brought about in the future; and with recent events, America is taking giant leaps towards this new system of government. In my opinion, the people who hold current positions of power in our government and their beliefs and goals and policies are one indication of this fact. I suppose there has always been revolutions and transformations of societies all throughout human history, so this is nothing new nor is it a big deal.

The Left is using the strategy of manufactured crises to bring a revolution.

I got this off of Boortz.com. This strategy was put forward by the radical Columbia professors Cloward and Piven: "The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The 'Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse." I can think of the Environmental crises and the current debate of the Health care crises. I won't go into to great detail on this subject since these links state it more clearly, if one cares to look.

The article above describes in detail these professor's strategy and how it is related to Acorn, President Obama has ties to this group, and various groups that have pushed for Left wing policies that would bring about the collapse of our Capitalist system.

An American Thinker dot com article
points out how Obama is connected to this strategy of the radical left that has brought about this current economic crises and it contends that the Left has been purposely using this method of overloading the system to bring about a collapse of our Capitalist system: "I noted the liberal record of unmitigated legislative disasters, the latest of which is now being played out in the financial markets before our eyes. Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress - with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works? Why are they chronically incapable? Why? One of two things must be true. Either the Democrats are unfathomable idiots, who ignorantly pursue ever more destructive policies despite decades of contrary evidence, or they understand the consequences of their actions and relentlessly carry on anyway because they somehow benefit." The article also points out how Saul Alinsky, Acorn, and Obama are related to a lot of policies that are part of this strategy.

These links are worth a read to see how this strategy is being carried out here in America. A lot of the programs and policies of the Left will make a lot more sense when looked at with the knowledge in these articles. _The Road Ahead; America's Creeping Revolution_ by John T. Flyn states that this is how various Communist and Socialist groups would bring about a "slow creeping revolution in America. There is an active attempt to bring about a "fundamental transformation" of America by the President who has ties to this strategy and these groups that have and are carrying it out.

Ronald Reagan's thoughts on socialized medicine.

I got this off of Rush Limbaugh dot com. The video starts off with a quote from Norman Thomas:"The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

The main point that I get from Reagan's speech is how socialized medicine is a way to turn America into a socialized nation: "One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism 0n a people has been by way of medicine. It is very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. Most people are a little reluctant to oppose anything that suggest medical care for people who can not possibly afford it."

This is a very good video that relates to current events. Reagan shows how socialized medicine is a big step towards statism and relates this to history. Worth ten minutes of your time. If socialized medicine is established in America and after this, "other Federal programs that will invade every area of freedom as we have know it in this Country until, one day, as Norman Thomas said, 'we will awake to find that we have socialism'. And if you don't do this, and if I don't do it, one of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset ears telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in America when men were free." The statist, central planners, big government people, socialist, communist, fascist, and any other name you want to call them have been trying to establish tyranny in America for a long time. The current attempt to enact health care reform is just another attempt, even if those who are pushing for it and supporting it don't realize this. One must remember that America is a fluke and an exception to the rest of the history of mankind that has been marked by tyranny. The statist, utilizing the "useful idiots", the ignorant, and human nature, will not give up until they accomplish their goal of destroying the world's shinning beacon of freedom-- doing it under the guise of taking care of you and proving for you.

Nazis and environmentalism.

(Pawing off of others' good work, with a little spin of my own.) I found this interesting article linked from Rush Limaugh.com. It states how the Nazis used environmentalism to gain control over Germany.
"It has been elaborately pointed out how the device of environmentalism is especially favoured by tyrants as a means of controlling their subjects. The current 'green' movement, as we know, is no exception...Throughout the 20th century there have been multiple examples of tyrants implementing a very strict environmental policy to which their subjects had to conform, sometimes through the collection of taxes, sometimes at the barrel of a gun; usually a subtle mixture of the two. It is a well documented though seldom highlighted fact that the Nazis were very much into environmentalism- not for environmentalism's sake of course, but rather as a means of oppression and control. As it turns out, environmentalism fits the form of tyranny like a well tailored suit."

"Once Hitler consolidated his position and that of his party, the true face of Nazism had to be masked somewhat to appease the people who generally desired an age of peace instead of another disastrous World War...But in order to realise his grand scheme, it can be credited to the cunning of the dictator that he realised he could not submit the German people by terror alone...As Hitler reasoned, lots of trees and wide-open spaces would take the minds of his subjects off the war he was preparing and the liberties they had lost along the way."

"In the 2005 published book _How Green were the Nazis?: Nature, Environment, and Nation in the Third Reich_ the authors explain the Nazis received a warm welcome by the existing environmental organisations as there was 'an ideological overlap between Nazi ideas and conservationist agendas'...But the hardcore environmentalists who had found their champion in the person of Adolf Hitler were soon to be disappointed. By the end of the 1930s, with a World War imminent, Hitler abandoned most of the environmental pretexts he had used to trick the masses, hook, line and sinker, replacing it with a war-ethos of sacrifice for the greater good and 'lebensraum'."

"It will not be necessary to further point out the many similarities to our own time, where any and every environmental 'good intention' is hijacked by the elite for the advancement of its own objectives. It is true; most environmentalists love collectivism and are prepared to marry almost every regime that claims to work for a clean and green environment. That makes this group extremely susceptible to the arguments of tyrants."

It is not so hard to believe Patrick Moore when he stated that the environmental movement has been hijacked by communist and socialist. Another good illustration on how communism is creeping into America though the EM. History is just repeating itself. Hopefully, this is nothing mind blowing or hard to comprehend for people, especially when looking back on history.

Another radical in Obama's cabinet.

This time we have John Holdren who is the director of the White House's office of science and technology policy, CZAR, "once floated the idea[in 1977] of forced abortions, "compulsory sterilization," and the creation of a "Planetary Regime" that would oversee human population levels and control all natural resources as a means of protecting the planet -- controversial ideas his critics say should have been brought up in his Senate confirmation hearings." Need to sacrifice these horrible humans, just not them, to save mother nature. Just a new take on the old theme of sacrificing humans to please some pagan god. Not much new "under the sun". Just the same thing put in a new package.

"But many of Holdren's radical ideas on population control were not brought up at his confirmation hearings; it appears that the senators who scrutinized him had no knowledge of the contents of a textbook he co-authored in 1977, "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment," a copy of which was obtained by FOXNews.com. The 1,000-page course book, which was co-written with environmental activists Paul and Anne Ehrlich, discusses and in one passage seems to advocate totalitarian measures to curb population growth, which it says could cause an environmental catastrophe. The three authors summarize their guiding principle in a single sentence: "To provide a high quality of life for all, there must be fewer people."

A note on these Czars, they are a way to increase the power of the executive branch of government. Instead of appointing these people to official positions that would require Senate confirmation, these people are listed as personal staff that require no confirmation. Nothing new since most Presidents have tried to increase the power of the executive branch, but with President Obama this has been carried to a new level. Some would argue not as far as President Bush did.

Also worth noting is the fact that the Nazi and many totalitarian movements believed in these same things.

Holdren denies these claims and says his beliefs were misrepresented. But the book the co- authored states otherwise. Maybe these ideals just popped up in his hippie days, and he has since changed his views. Anyways, this shows the type of people that are in President Obama's cabinet and who are leading this country and another illustration that radicals have overtaken the environmental movement and have used it to get in positions of power to implement their agenda of control. These people are a reflection on Obama's beliefs. We now have the socialist Carol Browner, Van Jones, and now John Holdren with radical views in Obama's cabinet who believe in totalitarianism, they fall under the banner of the EM. It is interesting that all of these radicals are attracted to the EM. Any speculation as to why?
